Originally from the low country of South Carolina in the SouthEast US, I spent my youth on the water boating, fishing, and enjoying the aquatic life. My career as a computer engineer gave me opportunities to travel the world and expand my understanding and appreciation of the people and the world around me. My experiences traveling for work piqued my interest in traveling the globe and really getting to know more about the people, cultures, history, and customs of this wonderful world that we inhabit. My sailing experience began early with HobieCats and J24s and has evolved over several decades to my current sailing vessel, a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 45.2. I am a firm believer that we should never stop learning so I see this voyage as a great opportunity to expand my experience and understanding in many ways!
By way of South Africa, Seattle and, for the longest duration, the San Francisco Bay Area, my world journey has just begun at the age of 52. I recently retired from a long career in commercial real estate to set sail with George. I am an outdoor enthusiast, lifelong athlete and lover of nature. I enjoy staying fit, eating healthy and spreading positivity, kindness and respect. Sailing, hiking, biking and overall fitness and health are important themes in my life that add personal joy and a sense of connection to Source. Inspiring others to love themselves, to open to their true potential and to develop their own, unique beauty, is my overarching mission. I feel that I am my most authentic self when I am connected to nature, spreading love, living in gratitude and helping others. It is never too late to live a full and happy life. Sometimes it just takes a little courage to actually go for it!
